Physiological birth is not just a fad. It’s a bone deep desire.
When labour is left undisturbed, the body, baby, and hormones work in harmony. Oxytocin and endorphins support effective labour and bonding. The baby's microbiome is seeded optimally, laying the foundation for lifelong health. For the mother or birthing person, there’s less trauma, fewer interventions, and a stronger start to breastfeeding and emotional recovery.
This is about more than birth — it’s about long-term wellbeing, and about reclaiming what we were never meant to lose.

Former NHS and independent midwife, doula and specialist in supporting ‘out of guidelines’ choices, waterbirth, birth centre and homebirth. I have a Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Midwifery Practice focused on normal birth plus 25 years of experience in prenatal, birth and postnatal support.
I walked away from the system to support birth in a different way — one that starts with trust in the body, not fear. This isn’t about ticking boxes or following guidelines. It’s about working with the unknown, the wild, the wise.
